Meet Our Team

Sheila Tarr consist of a dedicated team with several decades of combined experience in financial services.

Everyone in the business shares the same passion for putting our customers first and providing the right advice and solutions for every individual.

John Howse

Director & Adviser

John attended university in Southampton before moving into the financial services industry in various roles for most of his career. John joined Sheila Tarr IFS in 2012 and became a director in 2014.

He holds the Diploma in Financial Planning as well as specialist qualifications in Equity Release and Long-Term Care.

“For many people, money remains a taboo subject, whether that is on a personal level or amongst the immediate or extended family. I have found over the years that whilst being a Financial Planner means we help clients navigate the technical nature of some financial products there is often equal value in being a third-party sounding board. Having that third person to talk things through allows our clients to gain clarity. This in turn results in my clients being able to visualise how their assets can help achieve their goals.”

On a personal note, John lives locally with his family and aside from the usual leisure activities of holidays, eating out and dog walks, in his spare time he enjoys applying his DIY skills to various projects around the house and garden.

Rebecca Fritter

Director & Chartered Financial Planner

Becky started her career in Financial Services in 1995 and has achieved Chartered Financial Planner status.

Becky was delighted to become a director of Sheila Tarr I.F.S in 2014 after working closely with Sheila Tarr since 2004.

“In a world where we have so much choice in everything, I really enjoy helping clients to find the right solution for them and their families often at times where the decisions are not just financial, but often emotional. Financial planning can be such a dry topic, it’s great to engage with people to bring their aspirations to life, and to help remove the stress of major decisions”.

In her spare time Becky enjoys being a mum, seeing friends, and keeping fit.
