My partner and I have used Sheila Tarr I.F.S on several occasions now and have been very happy with the level of service, advice and support.

We first met nearly 3 years ago when we were looking to buy our first house. As everyone knows this is a very stressful and intimidating time both financially and emotionally however, with the support of the team it went quickly and smoothly. We have since gone on to have general financial support, building and contents quotes, life and critical illness cover and to buy our second home with their support and we could not be happier.

This month we bought our second home with the help from Vanessa and Jeremy and the support from others within the office. This was a tricky move with a 5 person chain and lots of different personalities and estate agents involved. Luckily for us Vanessa took control of the whole situation right from the outset. She met with us on several occasions to help us with budgets and work out how much we could borrow with our current financial commitments and looked into costs of bills to make sure it was all affordable, so that we knew exactly where we stood from day one with regards to viewing and offering on a house.

Vanessa was flexible in the times she could meet with us to help fit around our working hours and both herself and Jeremy were on hand at all times to help with any questions or anxieties we may have had a long the way as well, as chasing up missing paperwork, delayed responses from solicitors and queries from estate agents during the whole process, taking the pressure off of ourselves at an already stressful time.

All in all I can not praise and recommend Sheila Tarr I.F.S enough, I would not move house nor make any substantial financial decisions without their advise, guidance and support.

My wife and I have been clients of Sheila Tarr I.F.S. for 13 years now and Vanessa has been our adviser for the last 2 years.

She has arranged our last two re-mortgages and on each occasion Vanessa has completed research on available products before we get there so that there is no wasted time. The advice is presented neutrally which allows us to make the decision as to which mortgage deal we will take. Vanessa always explains any restrictions or reasons why a mortgage lender will not be suitable for us. Figures and monthly payments are worked out so that we know what we will be paying before we the mortgage is arranged.

When we moved house, Vanessa arranged for a certificate of affordability to be sent to various parties in order to smooth the housebuying process. Additionally, Vanessa spotted a mistake in the paperwork from our lender and chased this up until it was resolved.

Vanessa is always cheerful and on time when we go to see her and as with all the staff at Sheila Tarr, checks to see if we need coffee!

When I phoned Vanessa recently to speak to her to query some paperwork from our lender, she phoned back promptly when she was available and she gave me the information that I needed.

We always recommend Sheila Tarr I.F.S. to anyone who mentions financial matters to us. We would also recommend Vanessa as a financial adviser.

A few years ago we were advised by a very shrewd friend that if we had any money to invest to contact Sheila Tarr. Never having any dealings with a financial adviser we were a little apprehensive. Our fears were immediately relinquished upon our first meeting. The options regarding any investments offered to us were given in a very professional and friendly manner. As time has passed we have received very good returns on our investments. Obviously during the recession we experienced some very anxious weeks and months wondering what we should do to safeguard our savings. A meeting was arranged with Sheila Tarr and our nerves were calmed. We are sure that had we not been given very good advice from such a professional company we would have withdrawn from our investments and put the cash "under the mattress".
