As a company, Sheila Tarr I.F.S. have always been committed to the local community and have supported many organisations over the years. Sheila always looked at having an annual event ranging from Coffee Mornings to Bike Rides and since her retirement the team have looked to continue with this by providing something tangible to the area.
Charities in 2019
As an office we like to support a great cause each year and in 2019 we are supporting Abby’s heroes. The aim of the charity is to help and support children and their families, including bereaved families, who come under the care of the Piam Brown and the Teenagers and Young Adults (TYA) wards at Southampton General Hospital. They offer financial and practical help as well as the opportunity to make lasting memories for the children and their families.
Further information on Abby’s story and the charity itself can be found by clicking on the charity below.
As a company, we recognise the importance of Protecting families and support a couple of the local schools with this message at the forefront. We thought it was an excellent charity to support and any donation that is made would be gratefully appreciated as the charity targets £500,000 this year in fundraising. Jeremy, John, Ellie and Lizzie are doing a sky dive in July 2019 to help raise additional funds and anyone who wants to witness this is welcome to join us. Charities in 2018
In 2018 Sheila Tarr I.F.S supported a number of charities that were close to their own and clients hearts. Each year the firms sadly lose clients for different reasons or have staff or clients go through life changing events. In 2018 we supported the Southampton Neonatal Unit, The Family Fund, Children with Cancer, Heartburn Cancer UK and the Alzheimer’s Society.
Longdown Mobile Farm
In 2015 Sheila Tarr I.F.S. started sponsoring Longdown Mobile Farm visits to local schools and this will continue into 2016. The response has so far been excellent with Farmer Ian Earles providing an educational and fun environment to showcase various animals allowing children to interact with animals of various shapes and sizes.
During the process of bringing the farm to the children Sheila Tarr I.F.S. wanted to highlight the fundamental priority for all our clients who come to us for financial advice & Protection. The firm has been protecting families since 1997 and have unfortunately assisted clients through their worst times.
“When it comes to those with families we are passionate about ensuring the right level of protection is in place for the right reasons and the right people”

Locks Heath Pumas Rugby Club
We’re delighted to be lead sponsors of The Locks Heath Pumas Rugby Club. We’re extremely proud to sponsor this established local club who share our values for supporting the local community through fundraising and also volunteering time for example through offering free rugby training sessions to local schools and volunteering doing maintenance and gardening at local care homes
The Locks Heath Pumas have two senior teams and also run youth training, The Locksheath Pumas Cubs for children age 5-12.
We once again see this partnership with Locksheath Pumas as an opportunity to create awareness about the importance of Protection for families.
